It's always fun to stop by Long Pond. Monument Falls is always fun to check out; while you're here you can take a hike along the Schwartz Trail. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do right next door to Long Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Plattsburgh here. So much enjoyable stuff in the Adirondack Mountains, just mind-boggling. If you came to camp Whispering Pines Campground is a great place to do that; everybody nearby loves skiing at Mount Pisgah.

| | The McKenzie Pond Trail is a nice hiking trail in the vicinity of Long Pond; swing by Whiteface Brook it's a nice site to pop by. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Dry warm beds await you at Lake Placid Club Lodge; Ausable River - West Branch is a good whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. a day at, Adirondak Loj is a great local campground.
All through the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Long Pond. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs
are in the 20's with temperatures at Long Pond dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Long Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. The skiing
at Whiteface Mountain is splendid; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Hopkins Trail.
After a long day outdoors Mirror Lake Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two; you must undeniably check out Moss Cliff
while here. From a precipitation point of view Long Pond is a pretty typical spot; the month with most of the rain is August while February is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to nearby Barrel Bay is very relaxing, and playing golf is lots of fun at Craig Wood Golf & Country Club.
