Try Bash Bish Brook. There are plenty of people from Hudson here at Long Pond, and Sharon Motor Lodge is a delightful place to get some rest. The amount of rain that falls at Long Pond is close to the national average; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. If you get bored of Long Pond, you could       also check out close by Lower Rhoda Pond; why not head up to Catamount and strap some skis to your feet. Camping at Camp Pontiac is always a great experience, and Old Croken is a peak you can see from Long Pond. A round of golf at nearby Undermountain Golf Course is a brilliant way to kill some time, and the Northrop Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Oleana Family Camp Grounds, and hiking along the Elbow                  Trail is perfect fun. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Long Pond. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bash Bish Brook, and the snow is delightful at Ski Butternut. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Long Pond. Long Pond is right by the Indian Trail; dry warm beds await you at St Charles Hotel. This lake is so wonderful. Long Pond is not the only location nearby, Miller Pond is a nearby lake, and why not go to a swamp like Drowned Lands Swamp since you're here at Long Pond. Throughout the days of summer at Long Pond highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and the overnight is slightly colder of course, mostly in the 50's.
