This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Post Henderson Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Oswegatchie River - Middle Branch. Any time is a nice time at Long Lake if you adore the outdoors. Long Lake is a place with many visitors from Ogdensburg-Massena; there's a great forest called Greenwood Creek State Forest. Long Lake       gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. Natural Bridge/Watertown KOA is a magnificent campground nearby, and after a long day outdoors Best Western University Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two. There are other sites here than Long Lake, for example Jenny Lake; there are some nice whitewater spots on Jenny Creek. High temperatures at Long Lake through                  the summertime are in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's.
