     Lakes? Sure, Twin Ponds is around here, and some nearby water includes Gulf Stream. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Post Henderson Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Oswegatchie River - Middle Branch. Any time is a nice time at Long Lake if you adore the outdoors. Long Lake is a place with many visitors from Ogdensburg-Massena; there's a great forest called Greenwood Creek State Forest. Long Lake  
   gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February.
Natural Bridge/Watertown KOA is a magnificent campground nearby, and after a long day outdoors Best Western University Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two. There are other sites here than Long Lake, for example Jenny Lake; there are some nice whitewater spots on Jenny Creek.
