Sure, Brandy Lake is right next door to Long Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Kayuta Lake Campground is a great place to camp. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. While you're here at Long Lake you can take a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail; camping is available at Cold Brook Campsites. A normal amount       of rainfall falls here at Long Lake; all through August this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Moose River is so much fun; you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Stone Dam Trail. So much amusing stuff to do at Long Lake, so little time. This is a great area for people who like lakes. White Lake is a lake close at hand; lots of people from Utica-Rome come here. If you love the outdoors                  you'll love it here in the Adirondack Mountains. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby McCauley Mountain, and Graham Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. Summertime highs at Long Lake usually tend to be in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Long Lake. Get soaked paddling on Woodhull Creek, and Woods Valley has great slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful.
