Long Lake is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. Nearby lakes? Sure, Brandy Lake is right next door to Long Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Kayuta Lake Campground is a great place to camp. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. While you're here at Long Lake you can take a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail; camping is available at Cold Brook Campsites. A normal amount

| | of rainfall falls here at Long Lake; all through August this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Moose River is so much fun; you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Stone Dam Trail. So much amusing stuff to do at Long Lake, so little time. you'll love it here in the Adirondack Mountains. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby McCauley Mountain, and Graham Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. Summertime highs at Long Lake
usually tend to be in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Long Lake. Get soaked
paddling on Woodhull Creek, and Woods Valley has great slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day at Long Lake you can take a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail.

Forty Mountain Trail
 | 10 miles away Since 2001, it has become a bushwhack and can be close to impossible in the spring and summer to find the blazes that indicate the trail. Wet seasons can make the slopes tretcherous, and the trail dissapears at the base of the mountain. One must plot a compass course or use a GPS.
