You could also take a look at Mahan Pond while you're here at Long Lake; it's close by, and skiing at Snow Ridge is one of those things you just must do. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Long Lake. When the night sets in temperatures       sink down into the 50's. During the winter highs are regularly in the 20's, and overnight lows through the winter for Long Lake tend to be in the 0's. Just can't get enough of Long Lake. A delightful place to camp here at Long Lake is Cold Brook Campsites, and tremendous skiing awaits you at McCauley Mountain. Long Lake is a good place of typical rain; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here; February on the other hand is the driest.                  This lake is so wonderful.
