Long Lake is not the only location nearby, McRorie Lake is a nearby lake. There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hoss's Country Campground is a pleasant location for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Woodlake Inn is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the wonderful whitewater of Rock River, and there are great places to       look at along the Northville Lake Placid Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Raquette River, and hey, Big Brook is a great local stream. Here at Long Lake you can observe Landing Hill, and if you get bored of Long Lake you could also explore nearby Polliwog Pond. The warmest time of the year at Long Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Through the                  wintertime highs are typically in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Long Lake. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Long Lake. Stay the night at Whispering woods, and swamps don’t sound that fine but Big Marsh close to Long Lake is rather fine. Why not stop at Kelly Point also while you're here, and you can go for a hike on the Sucker Brook Trail.
