This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. While you're here at Lone Pond you can take a hike along the Ash Pond Trail, and swamps like Fox Marsh in the vicinity of Lone Pond make for good places to check out. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lone Pond has to offer, you can camp at Robinson's Iga; if you've had enough of Lone Pond, Leonard Pond is close by. This lake is so wonderful. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Lone Pond called the The Loop, and get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Jordan River. On a delightful day at Lone Pond you can take a hike along the Sixmile Creek Trail, of course you could also visit Crooked Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.

Through the months of summer highs here at Lone Pond get into the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at
Lone Pond dip into the 0's. Having a good time in the Adirondack Mountains is trouble-free. You'll meet a lot of people from Ogdensburg-Massena here. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Adirondack
Mountains has to offer. A fine place for whitewater paddling close to Lone Pond is Raquette River. There's so much to do here at Lone Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Higley Flow State Park is a splendid place for that.
