The snow is good at Swain, and folks from Rochester love to come here. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area near Log Pond has to offer. Erie Canal has a great whitewater paddling spot close by; do stop by Grant Pond, it's a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Days Inn Rochester Thruway / Henrietta is a good choice, and why not a little side spree to Dugan Creek. Log Pond is glorious enough to

| | spend more than a day at, Hidden Acre Family Campground is a glorious local campground, and you'll find a gorgeous lake called Horseshoe Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect place to camp here at Log Pond is Letchworth State Park, and dry warm beds await you at RIT Inn & Conference Center. A common amount of rain falls here at Log Pond; through September this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. | |

For the period of the warm months at Log Pond highs are generally in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. During the winter highs are usually in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight
