Livingston Pond is a lake worth visiting. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Adirondack Mountains. Livingston Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Whispering Pines Campground is a great local campground, and if you've had enough of Livingston Pond, Calamity Pond is nearby. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Livingston Pond. Have a great hiking adventure along the Van Hoevenberg Trail, and Cold Brook is one of the streams

Going for a hike along the Hopkins Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; there are some splendid whitewater spots on Ausable River - West Branch. is Econo Lodge Lake Placid, and the slopes of Mount Pisgah are so inviting noone can resist. If you need a site to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is a magnificent choice; if you want a little side trip, try Caribou Pass. Summer at
Livingston Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Livingston Pond dipping down into the 0's all
through winter nights. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Boreas River - Upper, and Algonquin Peak is delightful and can be seen from here. Any time is a fine time at Livingston Pond if
you have a thing about the outdoors. Take a hike on the Indian Pass Trail, and Whiteface Mountain is a wonderful local ski area. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time.
