Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. The summit of Depot Hill can be made out from Little Whaley Lake, and if you need a location to stay Smalley Inn is a brilliant choice. Little Whaley Lake gets a typical amount of                  yearly precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. If the weather is perfect here at Little Whaley Lake, you can go for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Pine Grove Motel. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Tenmile; you're probably keen on lakes, Ballard Pond is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Little Whaley Lake is a spot with many visitors from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, and since you're here and you like golf, you can stop at Dutcher Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful.
