Hiking is a popular thing to do around Little Mudhole; Post Henderson Trail is a good local trail, and camping at Nicks Lake Campgrounds is always a tremendous experience. Summertime highs at Little Mudhole usually tend to be in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures                  at Little Mudhole dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Desert Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Salmon Lake Trail. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Little Mudhole. Take a hike on the Norridge Trail, and Oswegatchie River - Middle Branch has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Little Mudhole is a place with many visitors from Ogdensburg-Massena.
