This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Jay Lodge, and Palmer Brook Swamp is an exciting swamp in the vicinity of Little Mud Pond. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Little Mud Pond; August is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Carrow Meadow is a delightful place to check out, and paddling       on Little Black Brook is so much fun. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Indole Golf Course, and a day on the slopes of Whiteface Mountain is just what you need. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Little Mud Pond. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's with temperatures at Little Mud Pond dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. But wait, there's more                  to do close to Little Mud Pond. Stay the night at High Peaks Base Camp; the Silver Lake Mountain Trail is a splendid hiking trail nearby. Near Little Mud Pond you come across the Weston Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. So many exciting things to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. People from Plattsburgh love to come to Little Mud Pond, and there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Schwartz Trail. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. Black River has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby, and after a long day outdoors Cloudspin Lodge is a great place to spend a night or two. Macomb Reservation is a great campground here, and a delightful panorama of striking Big Hill is available.
