If the weather is magnificent here at Little Lake, you can go for a hike along the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail; needless to say Croton River is a gorgeous stream that is worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail will let you absorb the       natural beauty of this area, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Popolopen Creek. A pleasant close by hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites, and Moodna Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by. Stay the night at Camp Discovery. Lakes are perfect; Indian Brook Reservoir is a lake that's right next door to Little Lake. The sight of beautiful Catamount Hill near Little Lake is delightful; the wonderful                  folks of Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown like to hang out nearby. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do right next door to Little Lake. New Croton Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out, and if you need a place to stay Edith Macy Conference Center is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Why not visit Crawbuckie Point also since you're here, and close to Little Lake you locate a golf course called Trump National Golf Club. High temperatures at Little Lake through the summer months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Little Lake are in the 10's.
