What a location this is for outdoors folks. Going for a hike on the Party Trail is always a fine adventure, and you can stay the night at Adirondack Gateway Campground. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Go for a hike on the Forty Mountain Trail, and why not head up to McCauley Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. And if that's not enough there's a lot more enjoyable stuff to do

| | in the Adirondack Mountains. After a long day outdoors Budget Inn Motel is a good site to spend a night or two, and Concklin Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out. While you're here at Little Deer Lake, you could also go to stunning Tom Kettle Lake; Americas Best Inns-Herkimer is a great location to get some rest. going for a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail, and a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Black River. At Little Deer Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. The winter comes
with highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Little Deer Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Little Deer Lake has to offer, you
can camp at Trails End. Little Deer Lake is a relatively wet place regularly with a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is August; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Do explore Figert
Lake in the neighborhood of Little Deer Lake, it's a delightful lake; get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of West Canada Creek.
