     If you came for an overnight stay Camp Catherine Capers is a great site to camp, and brilliant hiking is available along the Glen Lake Trail. From a precipitation point of view Lily Pond is a relatively typical site; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. Mettawee River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by; on a gorgeous day you get a perfect vista  
   of Dick Hill from Lily Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Glens Falls Lake George Red Roof.
This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Poultney River is so much fun, and Queensbury Hotel is a great site to get some rest. During the long summer days at Lily Pond temperatures are usually in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Lily Pond dipping down into
 
               the 0's during winter nights. Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds is a pleasant local campground, and not far from Lily Pond you'll stumble on Halls Pond which is a gorgeous lake.
And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. Go for a hike on the Bomoseen Hiking Loop. Lakes? Sure, Martins Pond is in the neighborhood. The slopes of West Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and lots of people from Glens Falls come here. This lake is so wonderful. Castle Green is a wonderful forest area in the vicinity of Lily Pond, and everyone close by loves skiing at Willard Mountain.
