    A visit to Lily Pond is always a good idea. High temperatures at Lily Pond during the warm months are in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and night lows all through the wintertime for Lily Pond tend to be in the 0's. You'll hit upon a gorgeous lake called Halls Pond near Lily Pond. There's so much to do here at Lily Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Battenkill Sportsquarters  
   Camping is a good place for that.
You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lily Pond has to offer, you can camp at Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds; a day on the slopes of Willard Mountain is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Bomoseen Hiking Loop is always a great adventure; lots of people from Glens Falls come here. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the neighborhood of Lily Pond. If you come at
 
               the right time of year, Mettawee River offers some great whitewater, and Colonell Williams Resort is a delightful site to get some rest.
This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at West Mountain is nice, and you can go for a hike on the Glen Lake Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Poultney River, and there's a splendid forest called Castle Green. Dry warm beds await you at Pine Grove Motel, and the panorama of wonderful Dick Hill is nice.
The yearly rain here at Lily Pond is about average; August is the wettest month with most rain; February is when it's the driest.
