You can never get enough of the brilliant skiing at Whiteface Mountain, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Stimson Trail. Courtyard Lake Placid is a tremendous spot to get some rest. Lakes? Sure, Cranberry Pond is in close proximity. For the period of the months of summer, highs generally are in the 70's at Lillypad Pond. Summer nighttime lows fall down       to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Lillypad Pond. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is abundant here in the Adirondack Mountains. There's so much to do here at Lillypad Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Shearer's Riverside Campsite is a fine spot for that, and on a great day it's a good idea to spend the day at Jones Beach.
