Lewey Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Cellar Brook is a fine spot to take a look at, and don't leave Lewey Lake without first going for a hike along the Sucker Brook Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Northville Lake Placid Trail, and Sacandaga River - Middle Branch is a brilliant whitewater spot nearby. And that's not all there is to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. The friendly people of Gloversville

Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Lewey Lake reach the 70's; the overnight is fairly colder of course, generally in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Lewey Lake tend to be in the 0's. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Lewey Lake has it all. Not far from Lewey Lake, you'll discover Whitaker Lake which
is a wonderful lake, and if you came to camp Long Lake Camp is a delightful place to do that. Lewey Lake gets a good deal of water; most of the rain falls during August, and the driest month is February. There's so much to do here
at Lewey Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hoss's Country Campground is a brilliant location for that; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lewey Lake; Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is a delightful local trail.
