Why not stop by Lens Lake if you're passing through these parts. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Lakes are good; Little Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Lens Lake, and camping at Sacandaga Campground is always a brilliant experience. This lake is so wonderful. The annual rain here at Lens Lake is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. temperatures descend down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Lens Lake. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Thousand Acres Golf Club,
and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stony Creek. This lake is so wonderful. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back many times. After
a long day outdoors Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel is a great location to spend a night or two, and you're perhaps into lakes, Middle Flow is one of those close by. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
Hiking along the Oregon Trail is wonderful fun, and on a lovely day you get a fine panorama of Seneca Mountain from Lens Lake.

It is owned by Suny College Of Environmental Science and Forestry. There are no motors allowed on the lake. No fires and no overnight camping allowed. Dogs must be on a leash.
