Camping at Newburgh/New York City N KOA is always a pleasant experience; on a great day you can take a hike along the Stillwell Lake Trail. After a long day outdoors New York City Newburgh Stewart Airport Super 8 Motel is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two; if you come at the right time of year, Wappinger Creek offers some great whitewater. Leighfs Pond is a pretty       wet place mostly with lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Through the long summer days at Leighfs Pond temperatures are frequently in the 70's with night lows in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Leighfs Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Leighfs Pond truly is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Going                  for a hike on the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail is always a great adventure, and Mill Creek Golf Club is a splendid golf course nearby. Cronomer Hill is lovely and can be spotted from Leighfs Pond, and Muchattoes Lake is a good lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious place to camp here at Leighfs Pond is K O A-hudson Valley Campground; needless to say Gidneytown Creek is a striking stream that is worth checking out. A stunning lake like Crystal Lake near Leighfs Pond is a tremendous location to explore, and a delightful nearby hotel is Ramada Inn West Point/Hudson Valley.
