If you are in this part of New York make sure to pay a visit to Ledge Pond. So much cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. A glorious location for whitewater paddling near Ledge Pond is The Branch, and swamps like Deadwater Pond right next door to Ledge Pond make for great places to explore. Boquet River is a tremendous whitewater spot in close proximity to Ledge Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Stimson Trail.

The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. The amount of rain that falls at Ledge Pond is close to the national average; August is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This
lake is so wonderful. One of the governing traits of the surroundings of Ledge Pond is Holcomb Mountain, and do take a hike on the Dix Trail. All the outdoors exciting things next to Ledge Pond will keep you coming back over and
over. Some close by water includes Ash Craft Brook, and you can never get enough of the delightful skiing at Whiteface Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. The Weston Trail offers hiking at its best, and Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites is a great location to get some rest.
