The warmest time of the year at Lawson Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. All through the winter the highs are generally in the 30's; nighttime lows at Lawson Lake during the winter mostly fall into the 10's. The summit of Bennett Hill can be made out from Lawson Lake, and Alcove Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could       take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Basic Creek, and scenic scenery and nice skiing is what you acquire at Hunter Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Sycamore Country Club. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Lawson Lake is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Woodstock Lake Assn-office is a glorious place                  to camp nearby, and if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Albany-Turf On Western Ave., N is a splendid choice. You simply must like the Catskill Mountains. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lawson Lake has to offer, you can camp at Don Knudsen, and what would winter be without some skiing at Hickory Ski Center. Lawson Lake is a beautiful lake in the Catskill Mountains. Lawson Lake is a good place of common rainfall; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you get bored of Lawson Lake, you could also pop by close by Helderberg Lake, and Stardust Motor Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. Man, is there lots of entertaining things to do in the Catskill Mountains.
