Lawson Lake

Mid February 2010 ice fishing was good, lots of small pickerel, medium yellow perch, and a couple 3 lb+ large mouth bass. Went twice and will probably go three time next year. Make sure to throw the small pickerel back, so we can have some monster in the future. Good luck. Says Will

Near Lawson Lake is a good 10.3-mile-long stretch of whitewater on Basic Creek, a type II-IV, this is the Swartout Road Bridge to Freehold portion. In the event that you
boast a little whitewater kayaking or rafting skill, this portion of Basic Creek could be a good place for you. The 5.5-mile-in-distance Deans Mill to Hudson River portion is a type III-IV portion of whitewater on Hannacrois Creek.
