At Laurel Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are ordinarily in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Laurel Lake fall into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Laurel Lake. There's some flowing water close by,       Brushs Creek is a stream you can explore while you're here; camping at Eastern Long Island Campground is always a good experience. Laurel Lake is a wet location that gets a large amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually April, that's the one that rains the most while February is mostly the driest month. If you need a place to stay The Atlantic is a fine choice, and the peak of Mattituck Hills can be made out from Laurel Lake. A striking                  lake like Marratooka Pond in the neighborhood of Laurel Lake is a splendid place to go to; dry warm beds await you at Budget Host Inn Riverhead. This lake is so wonderful. Wolf Pit Lake is a glorious lake near Laurel Lake, and camping is available at River Road Campground. A trip to Browns Point next to Laurel Lake is always a wonderful idea, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Hammonasset River.
