    The beauty of Launt Pond is reason enough to stop by. Summertime highs at Launt Pond mostly tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 30's with temperatures at Launt Pond dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Paddling on Beaver Kill River is so much fun, and Launt Pond is a good place to visit for more than one day, Peaceful Valley Campsite is a good place to camp nearby.  
   Be careful coming to Launt Pond, you might not ever want to return home again. Looking for something in the neighborhood of Launt Pond? Bear Cub Pond is in close proximity.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Clarion Hotel Oneonta is a good place to spend a night or two, and Treadwell Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. You're most likely keen on lakes, Russ Gray Pond is one of those close by; if you need a site to stay
 
               Holiday Inn Oneonta,Ny is a nice choice. All the water falling down from the sky makes Launt Pond a wet location; through May this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
Launt Pond is located in the Catskill Mountains. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is plentiful here in the Catskill Mountains. Fork Mountain is clearly visible from Launt Pond, and Nys Environmental Cnsrvtn is a brilliant local campground.

Attention, the brook / Treadwell creek is not paddle-able 80% of the time. The other 20% would be too dangerous. In addition, the brook is going through private land much of the way. The brook is good for fishing, but forget any kind of boating....
