Good hiking is available along the Bald Mountain Trail, and a wonderful place to camp here at Lake Lauderdale is Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping. The amount of precipitation that falls at Lake Lauderdale is close to the national average; August is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Alexandra B and B, and the slopes of Willard       Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. The summit of Mount Colfax can be spotted from Lake Lauderdale, and if you need a place to stay Best Western New Englander Motor Inn is a tremendous choice. Soar down the rapids of Batten Kill River in a kayak, and hey, Gotta ski right? West Mountain is a great place to do that. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Lake Lauderdale. A lake close by is Clark Pond, and camping at Lake                  Lauderdale Campgrounds is always a pleasant experience. You're sure to encounter some fine people from Bennington here, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Lauderdale; West Ridge Trail is a magnificent local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Battenkill River; don't leave Lake Lauderdale without first going for a hike along the Healing Springs Nature Trail. For the duration of the warm months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Lake Lauderdale, and the overnight is a little cooler of course, usually in the 50's.
