This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Mountain Lake Inn; great hiking is available along the Indian Pass Trail. Yeah, come here to Latham Pond for a glorious time. | | Pond Trail is a perfect local trail. Boulder Brook is a picturesque stream that is worth going to, and Round Pond is a glorious lake nearby. And if that's not enough there's a lot more fun things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Camp Cherokee is a pleasant campground nearby, and Big Eddy is a tremendous local attraction. come at the right time of year, Rock River offers some fine whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mount Pisgah if you're here; soar down the rapids of Cold River in a kayak.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Woodlake Inn is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two, and there are other places here than Latham Pond, for example Seward Pond. During the warmest time of the year, highs
mostly are in the 70's at Latham Pond. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Latham Pond.
An average amount of rain falls at Latham Pond; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is February.

 | 14 miles away Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over.
