This place is great, just explore all the exciting stuff to do right next door to Lanes Pond. If you need a place to stay Best Western Sunset Inn is a fine choice. The yearly precipitation here at Lanes Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest month of the year is February. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Oswegatchie River - Middle Branch;       why not visit close by Shaw Brook while you're here at Lanes Pond. There's whitewater on Oswegatchie River - West Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not pop by Clear Pond. Camping at Natural Bridge/Watertown KOA is always a good experience; a swamp like Bear Swamp close to Lanes Pond has lots of attention-grabbing things to see. All through the summer at Lanes Pond temperatures are generally in the 80's. Throughout                  the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are commonly in the 20's while Lanes Pond nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
