Hiking along the Seager West Branch Trail is splendid fun, and if you need a place to stay Winwood Inn is a wonderful choice. Lake Switzerland gets a common amount of annual rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. A delightful spot to camp here at       Lake Switzerland is Uncle Pete's Recreation Park, and going for a hike along the Phoenicia Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Catskill Mountains. Gotta ski! Ski Plattekill is a fine place to do that, and it's a great idea to check out Emory Brook. While you're here at Lake Switzerland you can play some golf at Hanah Mountain Resort and Country Club, and if you're here you can take                  a hike along the Vernooy Falls Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Stratton Falls Campground is always a great experience. So many exciting things in the Catskill Mountains, just remarkable. While staying at Lake Switzerland you could always discover Townsend Hollow, and paddling on Bush Kill River is so much fun. For the duration of the long summer days at Lake Switzerland temperatures are mostly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lake Switzerland are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Vly Creek, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Belleayre.
