Townsend Hollow is next to Lake Switzerland and is positively a tremendous location to stop by; there's pleasant hiking along the Phoenicia Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Catskill Mountains. If you came to camp Romer Mountain Park is a wonderful place to do that, and the Vernooy Falls Trail offers hiking at its best. All year is a magnificent time in the Catskill Mountains       if you love the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is good on Vly Creek, and don't leave Lake Switzerland without first going for a hike along the Seager West Branch Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is splendid at Belleayre. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Winwood Inn is a great choice; Emory Brook is near Lake Switzerland and is always a pleasure to take a look at. Through the warm months at Lake Switzerland highs are mostly in                  the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Lake Switzerland through the winter frequently fall into the 0's. This lake is located in the wonderful Catskill Mountains. Lake Switzerland gets a normal amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area close to Lake Switzerland has to offer. Paddling on Bush Kill River is so much fun; if you're here and you like golf, you can check out Hanah Mountain Resort and Country Club. There's so much to do here at Lake Switzerland that you need to camp here for a while, Uncle Pete's Recreation Park is a nice spot for that, and a day on the slopes of Ski Plattekill is just what you need.   Winwood Inn, Windham 21 miles away Step off the slopes and its a short ride to relaxation.
