at Lake Placid you can take a hike along the Schwartz Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Ausable River - West Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lake Placid, you'll discover

Lake Placid gets a normal amount of rain; through the month of August you get the most rain around here while
