Lake Placid is a lake worth visiting. Golf can be played at Craig Wood Golf & Country Club; camping is available at Adirondak Loj. Lake Placid is located in the Adirondack Mountains. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lake Placid. There are other spots here than Lake Placid, for example Mirror Lake, and close by you locate Grays Point. to spend a night or two. Going for a hike on the Schwartz Trail is always a great adventure, and on a beautiful day you obtain a perfect view of Mount Colburn from Lake Placid. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Whispering
Pines Campground since you're here at Lake Placid, and Comfort Inn Lake Placid is a great place to get some rest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Lake Placid. You're sure to bump into some
nice people from Plattsburgh here. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Near Lake Placid you find the McKenzie Pond Trail which is a great hiking trail; Whiteface Mountain has magnificent slopes
and a friendly staff. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ausable River - West Branch, and West Lake is a splendid lake nearby.

Its not too difficult for the amateur hikers and has a few trails off to the side that are a bit more difficult and fun for the experienced hikers.
