Kanawauke. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Lake Kanawauke you can play some golf at Spook Rock Golf Course; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Kanawauke; Breakneck Ridge Trail is a wonderful local trail.
Camping at Lake Kanawauke is perfect fun, Robert Moses is a perfect local campground, and the snow is tremendous at Sterling Forest. This lake is so wonderful. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Pine Swamp is right close by, and don't leave Lake Kanawauke without first going for a hike along the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail.
