If you're here at Lake Kabau, you could check out Angel Mill Brook; hey, Gotta ski right? Tanglwood is a tremendous spot to do that. What a site this is for outdoors people. Dry warm beds await you at Villa Roma Resort Lodges, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Crawford Trail. If you need a spot to stay The Lodge at Woodloch is a good choice, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Steam Mill Trail. Stay the night at
Lander's River Trips, and a round of golf at nearby Island Glen Country Club is a brilliant way to kill some time.
Lake Kabau is a wet site that gets a lot of rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lake Kabau, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's with temperatures

at Lake Kabau dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Callicoon Creek - East Branch, and if you've had enough of Lake Kabau, Lake Nianque is close by.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Schiff Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; everybody close by loves skiing at Holiday Mountain. Nearby lakes? Sure, Kazens Pond is close to Lake Kabau, and Woodstock On The Lake Campgrounds is a great campground nearby. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Delaware River.

Raft??? First off, I cant see raft going through box canyon. It might be possible, but I wouldn't want to see someone I care about be the first. After the box, downstream of the route 6 bridge, you would need a lot of rain, I mean an awful lot of rain to get through the flat water section. Personally, I do some tough runs (CL4+) and I'm not sure I'd wanna be there with that much water. With plenty of water, medium level, we were scraping a lot in the flat water section. Also, in the canyon, if someone gets hurt, they are in for a bad day. This is evident by looking at a typo map or looking down from route three bridge. ''outside the state you might find the rivers here are more forgiving''. My travel for White Water is limited: NY, NJ, MA, CT, WV, MD, VT, NC. Never been out west. With my limited experience the above states and PA and 5 years kayaking including winter, I have no clue what the above quote means. Ratings CL1-5 (6 being a rating meaning it might not be runable), while far from perfect is a pretty good indication of water difficulty. Don't paddle here unless you know wha...
