Go to Lake Julia if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. Trail's End Campground is a great local campground, and swamps like Tamarack Swamp are fun to check out. During the summertime highs here at Lake Julia get into the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lake Julia. You'll locate a pretty lake called Hinckley Reservoir near

| | Lake Julia, and Red Roof Inn Utica is a good location to get some rest. Lake Julia sees pretty high levels of rain; September is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. A nice nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Utica; for you golfers we recommend nearby Alder Creek Golf Course & Country Inn. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Julia you can distinguish Bailey Hills. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Adirondack Mountains is great!. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more
exciting stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Hiking along the Stone Dam Trail is perfect fun, and do put some time aside to spend at Crandall Falls while you're here at Lake Julia. That right there is lots already, but it
keeps on going; Lake Julia has it all. There's some flowing water close by, Beaver Meadow Brook is a stream you can check out during your stay, and Woods Valley is a very popular ski area around here. In the event that you don’t have
a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Black River, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Forty Mountain Trail. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more entertaining
stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Why not camp at Kayuta Lake Campground while you're here at Lake Julia, and a lovely lake like Evans Pond is a great place to have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a
hike along the Party Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and people from Utica-Rome love to come here.

Forty Mountain Trail
 | Since 2001, it has become a bushwhack and can be close to impossible in the spring and summer to find the blazes that indicate the trail. Wet seasons can make the slopes tretcherous, and the trail dissapears at the base of the mountain. One must plot a compass course or use a GPS.
