This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Holiday Mountain is just what you need; splendid hiking is available along the Schiff Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Jefferson a wet site; August is when you get the       most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A great spot to camp here at Lake Jefferson is Woodstock On The Lake Campgrounds; dry warm beds await you at Villa Roma Resort Lodges. Here at Lake Jefferson you can see Swiss Hill, and why not pop by nearby Laundry Brook since you're here at Lake Jefferson. Get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Callicoon Creek - East Branch, and Lake Jefferson is brilliant                  enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Chipinaw Camp Chipinaw is a brilliant local campground. While you're here at Lake Jefferson, you could also check out scenic Birch Ridge Pond; if you need a site to stay Howard Johnson Inn Liberty NY is a tremendous choice. Summer at Lake Jefferson comes with high temperatures in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's.
