The Steam Mill Trail is a good hiking trail in the vicinity of Lake Jefferson, and let's not forget Laundry Brook which is a stream that you may encounter during your stay. The sight of Swiss Hill from Lake Jefferson is beautiful, and glide down the rapids of Callicoon Creek - East Branch in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Hills Country Inn is a brilliant choice; Holiday Mountain is a very popular       ski area in the vicinity. Throughout the months of summer at Lake Jefferson temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while Lake Jefferson night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. Paddling on Callicoon Creek - North Branch is so much fun, and Lake Jefferson is a good place to camp, Swan Lake Camplands is a good place. On a glorious day at Lake Jefferson                  you can take a hike along the Schiff Trail, and if you're a golfer then a nice close by course is Island Glen Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Relax Inn. Lake Jefferson is a relatively wet place usually with a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. Yeah, come here to Lake Jefferson for a good time.
