Lake Charles is a nice lake to visit. From a rainfall point of view Lake Charles is a reasonably typical location; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. At Lake Charles all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's; the night is fairly cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. One of the main traits of the surroundings of Lake Charles is Browns Mountain, and Heidi's Inn is a glorious location to get some rest. do around Lake Charles; Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a fine local trail, and why not stop by nearby Haviland Hollow Brook while you're here at Lake Charles. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Tenmile,
and if you came for an overnight stay Kettletown State Park is a fine location to camp. What would winter be without some skiing at Woodbury; after a long day outdoors Henry Van Motel is a wonderful place to spend a night or two.
Lots of folks from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown come to Lake Charles, and Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a good campground here. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the beach if you want, Pine Ledge is practically right here, and in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Little Pond is just a very short distance away.
