Lake Askoti is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lake Askoti. Throughout the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's while Lake Askoti night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. If you get bored of Lake Askoti, you could also stop by nearby Breakneck Pond, and Mt. Peter is a very popular ski area close at hand.

| | Going for a hike on the Woodtown Trail is always a delightful adventure, and if you come at the right time of year, Popolopen Creek offers some tremendous whitewater. The high level of precipitation makes Lake Askoti a relatively wet location; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Harriman Motor Inn, and if you want to hit the beach, New Sebago Beach is in the neighborhood. Near Lake Askoti you locate the Ramapo-Dunderberg
Trail which is a good hiking trail, and here at Lake Askoti you can observe Bradley Mountain. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Green Swamp is right close by, and golf can be played at Central Valley Golf Club.
Hit the slopes
at Sterling Forest close at hand; soar down the rapids of Ramapo River in a kayak. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. If you came for an overnight stay Camp wabenaki is a great spot to camp; if you need a site to stay
Tuxedo Motel is a pleasant choice. You completely must fancy Lake Askoti. The Breakneck Ridge Trail is a splendid hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lake Askoti; hey, Beaver Pond Brook is a fine local stream.
