If you are in this part of New York make sure to pay a visit to Lake Arnold. Avalanche Pass is a good location to pop by close by; a day on the slopes of Whiteface Mountain is just what you need. A great close by hotel is Econo Lodge Lake Placid, and Marcy Dam is a spot that is in close proximity to Lake Arnold. | | you're here at Lake Arnold, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Ausable River - West Branch. Man, is there plenty of entertaining stuff to do in the neighborhood of Lake Arnold. Do stop at Calamity Pond in the vicinity of Lake Arnold, it's a gorgeous lake, and going for a hike on the Van Hoevenberg Trail is always a tremendous adventure. are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 20's with temperatures at Lake Arnold dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. You'll beyond
doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Adirondack Mountains. A great panorama of picturesque Avalanche Mountain is available from Lake Arnold, and Feldspar Brook is right next door to Lake Arnold
and is always a pleasure to explore. If you need a place to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is a tremendous choice; don't leave Lake Arnold without first going for a hike along the Shorey Short Cut. Lake Arnold is a good place of normal
rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If only every site had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be. If you like skiing, you're
in luck; Mount Pisgah is near Lake Arnold. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Adirondak Loj is a great location to camp, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on John's Brook. This lake is so wonderful.
A short spree to Indian Falls is always worthwhile; there are splendid sites to discover along the Hopkins Trail.
