This lake is so wonderful. Knickerbocker Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Hunter Lake Campgrounds is a tremendous local campground; after a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Inn Liberty NY is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. Knickerbocker Pond is a wet site that gets a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the       rain is May while February is usually the driest month. Summertime highs at Knickerbocker Pond frequently tend to be in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Knickerbocker Pond are in the 10's. What a place this is for outdoors people. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Belleayre, and if you need a place to stay Days Inn Liberty is a splendid choice. Knickerbocker                  Pond is not the only site nearby, Maple Lake is a nearby lake; getting to Mine Brook from Knickerbocker Pond is simple. This lake is so wonderful. You get a wonderful sight of Rattle Hill from Knickerbocker Pond, and you can hit the slopes at Holiday Mountain nearby.
