Secor Brook is a stream that you may come across during your stay. This lake is so wonderful. Kirk Lake is not far at all from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown; a day on the slopes of Thunder Ridge is just what you need. If only every spot had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great planet it would be. There are other places here       than Kirk Lake, for example Lake Mahopac, and Kirk Lake is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Camp Kiwi is a nice spot to camp nearby. Kirk Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is January. Wixon Pond is a glorious lake in the neighborhood of Kirk Lake, and after a long day outdoors Inn at Arbor Ridge and Cnf Ctr is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Summertime                  highs at Kirk Lake typically tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are usually in the 30's while Kirk Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Holiday Inn MT. KISCO (WESTCHESTER COUNTY) is a great site to get some rest, and you can stay the night at Clarence Fahnestock State Park. This lake is so wonderful. Country Club at Lake Mc Gregory is a golf course next to Kirk Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Popolopen Creek offers some delightful whitewater. Kirk Lake is right by the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; if you're here you must visit Mahopac Point.   Holiday Inn MT.
