Kirby Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. While you're here at Kirby Pond you will meet lots of folks from nearby Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, and a day at scenic Rye Beach in the neighborhood of Kirby Pond is a great thing to do. Near Kirby Pond you come across Bluefish Shoal which
is a nice location to visit, and Tyler Hill Camp is a perfect local campground. For the duration of the summer months here at Kirby Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend
down into the 60's. During the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Kirby Pond tend to be in the 20's. After a long day outdoors Hilton Rye Town is a delightful location to spend a
night or two, and if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Norwalk River.
