     Swamps are attention-grabbing places and Sampson Bog near Kings Pond is no exception; do explore Cat Lake, it's a stunning lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Kings Pond a wet place; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. There is a perfect hiking trail close to Kings Pond called the Northville Lake Placid Trail; a fine spot for whitewater paddling is Indian River.
Kings Pond
 
   is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. That right there is loads of fun things already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. Really pleasant skiing awaits you at McCauley Mountain; Pillsbury Bay is not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Kings Pond, you can go for a hike along the Sucker Brook Trail; if you're here, you could visit Mud Creek.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all
 
               the exciting stuff at Kings Pond. While you're here at Kings Pond, you could also take a look at beautiful Whitney Lake, and Kings Pond is a splendid site to visit for more than one day, Browns Tract Pond State Campground is a splendid site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. On a wonderful day at Kings Pond you can take a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail, and Tioga Point State Campground is a good campground nearby.
Throughout the long summer days here at Kings Pond, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Kings Pond tend to be in the 0's. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. On a wonderful day you obtain a vista of Cobble Hill from Kings Pond, and get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Moose River - South Branch.

Buckhorn Lake is a private Association Lake located 2 miles north of Unadilla, New York (in Otsego County). Very friendly towns folk and this lake holds the New York State Record for a Large Mouth Bass caught in 1994. The lake is fed by many underground springs but is not ery deep. Makes for a lovely, though short drive around it....

Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-...
