Catamount is a good local ski area; get yourself into a kayak and hit Kinderhook Creek. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. At Kinderhook Lake you always meet someone from Hudson, obviously you could also pop by Knickerbocker Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. For the duration of the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Kinderhook Lake; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.       High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Kinderhook Lake are in the 10's. A great nearby hotel is Knights Inn Castleton on Hudson/Schodack, and why not take a little visit to Valatie Kill while you're here.
