A lake close by is Fish Ponds; there's whitewater on Balm of Gilead Brook for all you adrenaline people. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Oregon Trail is nice fun, and a great place to camp here at Kibby       Pond is Smoke Rise Campsites. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do close to Kibby Pond. A tremendous view of picturesque Barker Mountain is available from Kibby Pond. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. The skiing at Gore Mountain is great, and dry warm beds await you at Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel. Through the summer months at Kibby Pond highs are frequently in the 70's;                  the night is a tad chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. During the winter the highs are typically in the 20's; nighttime lows at Kibby Pond throughout the wintertime commonly fall into the 0's. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
