If you like lakes and you're in this part of New York you can check out Kiamesha Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Kiamesha Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; February on the other hand is the driest. There is a brilliant hiking trail near Kiamesha Lake called the Schiff Trail; of course Tannery Brook flows through this area.
