It's always fun to stop by Kernan Pond. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. Kernan Pond gets a common amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. So many fun things to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. There's so much to do here at Kernan Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Kayuta Lake Campground is a great place for

| | that; wonderful skiing awaits you at Woods Valley. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Red Roof Inn Utica is a great choice; you'll come across a stunning lake called Forestport Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Kernan Pond from Utica-Rome, you won't be the only one; why not take a refreshing hike along the Party Trail. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Snow Ridge; a golf course nearby is Alder Creek | |

Golf Course & Country Inn. But wait, there's more to do near Kernan Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Utica; don't forget to take a good little spree to Alder Creek. There's no way someone can get bored here in
the Adirondack Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Kernan Pond; Stone Dam Trail is a nice local trail; you can run the rapids of Black River. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Kernan Pond get into the
70's, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Kernan Pond are in the 0's. Just can't get enough of Kernan
Pond. A stunning lake like Doe Pond right next door to Kernan Pond is a fine location to stop at, and the Forty Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. Little Woodhull Creek is a fine whitewater spot close to Kernan Pond, and Kernan Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Cold Brook Campsites is a great local campground.

Forty Mountain Trail
 | 12 miles away Since 2001, it has become a bushwhack and can be close to impossible in the spring and summer to find the blazes that indicate the trail. Wet seasons can make the slopes tretcherous, and the trail dissapears at the base of the mountain. One must plot a compass course or use a GPS. The summit offers limited views of the Black River area of the southwestern Adirondacks. Watch for black bears, as they are numerous in this region.... |

There are a golf driving range, volley ball net, horseshoes, rec hall, swimming pool, book exchange, wifi hot spot, and hayrides. Our hayrides guide you through the neighboring farm. We drive through the sugarbush. Maple syrup from the farm is for sale in the store. While doing your laundry you can bring you computer and sit in the lounge to catch up on your email, watch a movie, play a game, read a book or browse through the antiques qnd gifts. You can kick back or stay busy. Firewood and ice available on site. We aim to please. Our prices are reasonable.
