The high level of precipitation makes Kazens Pond a quite wet place; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Good hiking is available along the Steam Mill Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Kazens Pond has to offer, you can camp at Woodstock On The Lake Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Crawford       Trail. There's so much to do here at Kazens Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lander's River Trips is a nice place for that, and Delaware River is a perfect whitewater spot close by. A great close by hotel is Relax Inn; in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Callicoon Creek - East Branch. If you need a site to stay Villa Roma Resort Lodges is a perfect choice, and what would winter be without some skiing                  at Holiday Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm places, why not take a look at Barnhardt Pond in the neighborhood of Kazens Pond, and don't leave Kazens Pond without first going for a hike along the Schiff Trail. At Kazens Pond during the summer months highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Kazens Pond. Kazens Pond truly is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise.
