Black Brook flows through this neighborhood. The annual rain here at Jug Pond is about average; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most while February is frequently the driest month. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Schroon River, and if you need a location to stay Blue Ridge Motel is a good choice. Whohoo, so many cool things       in one place! Jug Pond is great! You'll need more than a day to look at everything Jug Pond has to offer, you can camp at Paradise Pines Camping Resort, and if you've had enough of Jug Pond, Courtney Pond is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Keene Valley Ausable Inn; good hiking is available along the Peaked Hill Trail. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Jug Pond; Dix Trail is a brilliant local trail, and there are some tremendous                  whitewater spots on The Branch. So many cool things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too tremendous to be true. The Weston Trail offers hiking at its best; Bear Mountain is clearly visible from Jug Pond. All year is a magnificent time in the Adirondack Mountains if you go for the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Jug Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Shearer's Riverside Campsite is a fine site for that; the snow is wonderful at Whiteface Mountain. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. High temperatures at Jug Pond during the summertime are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's.
