Hickory Ski Center is in close proximity to John West Vly. John West Vly is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains.
Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a nice time. West Mountain is a good local ski area,
and a glorious place for whitewater paddling is Sacandaga River. Summer at John West Vly arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently
in the 20's, and night lows all through the wintertime for John West Vly tend to be in the 0's. All the water falling down from the sky makes John West Vly a wet place; through the month of September you get the most rain around here;
February on the other hand is the driest.
