    John Pond is a lake worth visiting. For the duration of the summertime here at John Pond, high temperatures typically reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at John Pond temperatures drop to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There's nice hiking along the Oregon Trail. Chimney Mountain is easy to spot from John Pond, and probably you're  
   looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Center Pond is just a very short distance away.
This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Hudson River; why not take a refreshing hike along the Sucker Brook Trail. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Stay the night at Whispering woods, and hiking is a popular thing to do around John Pond; Northville Lake Placid Trail is a tremendous local trail. The yearly
 
               rainfall here at John Pond is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. The snow is perfect at Gore Mountain, and a swamp like Mud Pond near John Pond has lots of interesting things to see. There's whitewater on Cedar River for all you adrenaline kick people, and Lone Birch Motel is a good location to get some rest. Just can't get enough of John Pond. John Pond Brook is a great local stream, and after a long day outdoors Binder's Cabins is a good place to spend a night or two.
