A pleasant vista of charming Black Rock is available from Jims Pond, and as expected, A journey to Black Rock Hollow is always fun. Paddling on Moodna Creek is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Jims Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Pond is a magnificent place for that. Jims Pond is a wet place that gets a large amount of rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain,       and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious close by hotel is Cadet Motel, and if you're a golfer then a tremendous close by course is Central Valley Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Popolopen Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Woodtown Trail. If the weather is splendid here at Jims Pond, you can go for a hike along the Stillwell Lake Trail, and                  glorious skiing awaits you at Sterling Forest. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mt. Peter. The warmest time of the year at Jims Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the nighttime is quite colder of course, typically in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Jims Pond temperatures descend to the 10's. Lakes? Sure, Aleck Meadow Reservoir is nearby, and the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Jims Pond really is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise.
