That right there is a lot of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. A great spot for whitewater paddling near Jackson Summit Reservoir is Holmes Lake Outlet. There's so much to do here at Jackson Summit Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Rainbows End is a splendid location for that.

Kingsboro Restaurant & Golf Club is a great golf course close by; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny is a good spot to spend a night or two. Jackson Summit Reservoir ordinarily gets much precipitation; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February.
The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Dry warm beds await you at Johnstown/Gloversville Super 8 Motel It's always delightful to stop by Buttermilk Falls. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Ranch Side Park, and there's nice hiking along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of West Stony Creek next to Jackson Summit Reservoir, and Cameron Reservoir is a glorious lake close by. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. A striking lake like Lynus Vly near Jackson Summit Reservoir is a delightful place to stop by, and you should definitely have a look at Bellan Ledge while you're here.

Never been there...going there soon though....l\Love it there, going today. :)...Great spot for swimming in the summer. Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but  all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike....
