Jackson Summit Reservoir is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend West Stony Creek; a short visit to Buttermilk Falls is always worthwhile. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you're visiting Jackson Summit Reservoir from Gloversville, you won't be the only one. Lakes? Sure, Cameron Reservoir is close at hand. Johnstown/Gloversville

But wait, there's more to do near Jackson Summit Reservoir. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Kingsboro Restaurant & Golf Club; there's whitewater on Holmes Lake Outlet for all you adrenaline junkies. Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny is a wonderful choice, and at Jackson Summit Reservoir you can see Bernhardt Mountain.
So much exciting stuff in the Adirondack Mountains, just unbelievable. If the weather is nice here
at Jackson Summit Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Rainbows End is a delightful spot to camp. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Some
nearby water includes Elphee Creek, and don't leave Jackson Summit Reservoir without first checking out Bellan Ledge.
Jackson Summit Reservoir ordinarily gets a lot of rainfall; November is the wettest month with most rain, and
the driest month of the year is February. At Jackson Summit Reservoir through the days of summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Jackson Summit Reservoir temperatures fall to the 0's.
