So many amusing things to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. Why not camp at Campsite since you're here at Irving Pond, and whitewater paddling is
brilliant on Holmes Lake Outlet. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is nice here at Irving Pond, you can go for a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Irving
Pond. Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is a pleasant local campground, and during your journey here you'll meet some folks from Gloversville for sure.
This lake is so wonderful. Get soaked paddling on Caroga Creek, and if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn JOHNSTOWN-GLOVERSVILLE is a fine choice.

Nine Corner Lake
 | Been there several times and it's an enjoyable, short and easy walk. Our last visit there was somewhat ruined by a group of youngsters who felt they needed to bring their boom box with them as they sat on the shore communing with nature. Other than that - nice jaunt....Never been there...going there soon though....l\Love it there, going today. :)...Great spot for swimming in the summer. Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike.... |
